How might Spring Break During the Covid-19 Pandemic be like a Tsunami?

Dear CSS Members and Colleagues:

Consider this…

Just like a Tsunami, the virus starts with low impact (https://www.ted.com/talks/alex_gendler_how_tsunamis_work/transcript?language=en#t-186091 ) On the beach the water receeds before the great wave comes. With the virus the impact become exponential if we remain on the beach and party due to failure to socially distance. While we can limit the effect of a Tsunami by getting off the beach even before the water receeds giving the impression that all is fine, we can also get off the beach and social distance in advance of the potential for contact that transmits the virus. Both will save lives. Thank about it. It’s just as dumb to get together in large crowds on the beach prior to a Tsunami as it is to do so with Covid-19 coming to our shores.
