Dr. Gilles Walch has been a pioneer in shoulder surgery. This includes shoulder arthroplasty, virtual reality and mixed reality planning for shoulder arthroplasty, development of the Latarjet procedure, and many more techniques and concepts. He is arguably, one of the most influential shoulder surgeons of his generation. He has also been President of the French Orthopedic Society and the European Shoulder and Elbow Society (SECEC).
