Why Should You Measure Your Results of Treatment?
Dear CSS Colleagues: Enclosed is a link to a video that speaks to both our commitment to measurement of outcomes and the competitive advantage this approach can bring to your practice. Remember, Codman believed in measuring every patient’s outcome to determine if the treatment was successful. He didn’t realize that this gives a real business advantage to surgeons, since patients want transparency as a way to frame their confidence as to the reliability of a given treatment as well as the risk of the surgery they may elect to undergo. I hope you find this of interest. This video was presented at the 2021 Meeting of the San Diego Shoulder Institute.
