Creating the New Normal in Healthcare
Dear CSS Members and Colleagues:
Enclosed is a short Op Ed piece from Thomas Lee, Editor-in-Chief of NEJM Catalyst Innovations in Care Delivery. Tom describes his viewpoint as a primary care physician. I think as surgical subspecialists we have an enormous opportunity to create a new normal which facilitates better patient experiences, capacity management, and quality and safety. This will occur as we leverage technology and reduced barriers to it’s implementation. This is worth more discussion as I’ll be posting on some opportunities you can use as food for thought.
Best Wishes for all of you to stay healthy,
