Innovation in Orthopedic (Shoulder Surgery): Culture, Context, Creativity – Our Personal Perspective

Dear Colleagues:

I’m happy to share with you article we have just published in the Journal of Orthopaedic Experience & Innovation (JOEI). JOEI is an online journal and while it does not have an impact factor yet, it is a wonderful way to get a message out to those who are interested in cutting edge topics, as it can be shared on many social media platforms.

Our article deals with the question of Innovation…what it is, where it is done, and how it relates to creativity. As surgeons, most of us innovate every day in the OR. The additional question is how we scale an innovation and what are the barriers.
