Optimistic Attitude, Dancing, and other things which improve your health and help you avoid dementia: “The Bassem Prescription for a good life.”

Dear Colleagues:
I enclose below a message I sent to my partner, Dr. Bassem ElHassan. I am lucky to have the resource of this Pac-Man for revision surgery, as he is by far the most talented revision surgeon I have ever known.
In addition to this, he has a character disorder known as “Panglossian” (named after Dr. Pangloss from Voltaire’s Candide, which describes someone who believes that "everything is for the best in this best of all possible worlds," even in the face of extreme tragedy or evidence to the contrary). The characterization as an “Idealist” is a more neutral term for someone who envisions the best possible outcomes and strives for them, though it can sometimes imply a lack of pragmatism. That said, he innovates in every surgery he does and so he could also be called a “Surgeon Innovator-Entrepreneur”, or perhaps an “Innovateur” or an “Entrenovator”. What follows in the attachments enclosed is real data on the impact of the above character traits and activities that will serve you well in your mental and physical health.

Hi Bassem:
As in the last newsletter from MGB Orthopedics you were named "The CEO of Happiness", I have taken the liberty to provide you with some actionable data as to the true value of your attitude and equipoise for our department and policy stressors. This includes laughter, dancing, and IQ. While no member of this department has dementia and is not likely to have this any time soon, the effect of the above factors on reducing risk of dementia may also be extrapolated to memory and intellectual capacity.
I hope this is of interest and probable we could do studies on this or create a product that creates revenue for the department. We could call it "Happiness in the Bottle" or perhaps "Bassem in a Bottle”. This could compete with Prevagen or Neuriva, both of which are brain health products. The only problem is that the revenue sharing with MGB would be a 75/25% split with institution/Bassem the two entities, and because we would be solving the problem of stress due to change management in alignment in MGB, you would be paying royalty to the entity causing part of the problem 😊. I could be your Business Manager.
